How this system works

Each stage runs a small agent on-site that reads your Broadweigh load cells and anemometers through Log100, and pushes those readings up to this cloud dashboard every few seconds.

The dashboard stores the stream and shows every viewer the same live picture. Nothing here controls rigging — it reads sensors and displays them. Wind figures (Now / Mean / Gust) and weight totals are calculated from the incoming samples; the warning lights are triggered by comparing those figures against values you set here.

Data is as good as the feed. If a receiver drops or a sensor times out, its channel goes stale and its trend line shows a gap rather than a guessed value. Treat the board as a live aid, not a source of record.

Events & the admin key

An event is one show. It has a name and an access code — the code is what you hand viewers so they can open the dashboard (no login for them). Keep the code simple; it's not a password.

The admin key is the password for this page. Anyone with it can change settings and rules for every event, so treat it like a key to the shop. Sign out on shared machines.

Display settings

Refresh rate — how often every viewer's board updates. Default 3 seconds, which matches how often the cloud gets fresh samples; faster doesn't buy you newer numbers.

Default units — the in → out conversion applied to load channels (e.g. read in kg, show in lb).

Wind window — the averaging window for Mean and Gust, event-wide. Set this to the window you actually make calls on (commonly 5 minutes). Every card and every wind rule reads this same window, so they always agree.

Per-channel units

Override units on a single channel — most importantly, set an anemometer to km/h. Doing that also drops it from the weight total (you don't want wind speed added into a load sum), and it's how the dashboard knows which channels are "wind" for the Wind view and wind rules.

Merged stages

When two or more receivers cover the same structure, merge them into one card. Channels are fused by data tag, so the same physical cell reported by two receivers shows once. Totals and wind roll up across the merged set.

Warning rules

Rules light up the annunciator on the dashboard. Each rule is one tier: an action label (what crew should do), a metric, a condition and value, a tier (Notice / Warning / Critical), and its own snooze.

Scope — All wind covers every km/h channel automatically. Or pick specific channels. A Load rule sums the channels you pick and tests the total (e.g. combined load across five cells).

Which metric? For sustained decisions — remove tents, lower walls, evacuate — use Mean. That's the held average you actually act on, and it's why a single filtered gust won't trip a wall-down call. Use Gust only for a hard ceiling ("regardless of average, if any gust hits X"). Now is the raw instantaneous value — rarely the basis for a decision. Build your ladder on Mean; add a Gust rule only if you want an outlier backstop.

Order tiers sensibly — a higher tier should trip at a more extreme value. The editor warns you if they're out of order.

Nothing is preset. Every number and action is yours; the dashboard only ever surfaces "your value was reached — your noted action." It does not recommend thresholds or certify safety.

Publishing & updates

Settings and rules save to the event when you hit Save Settings, and every viewer picks them up on their next refresh — no reload needed.

When the app itself is updated, open dashboards show a small "new version — refresh" bar. It never reloads a screen on its own.
